Bogus Callers yesterday in Grange Park 

Yesterday two males knocked at a resident’s door in Cheyne Walk and told the resident that they have a loose tile on their roof and that they can fix it for £20.  Without being given permission, they put a ladder up and one of them climbed up to the roof.  He returned down and told the resident that there are some loose tiles and it will cost her £450 to repair them now.  Fortunately the resident told them that she cannot make that decision without speaking with her partner, so they told her that they will return tomorrow (today, Saturday 7th Feb).  The resident has been advised, if the males return today, to tell them that she is not interested in them doing any work on her roof.  Then the resident will seek for a recommended roofer to check her roof for any damage.

Please spread the word on your WhatsApp groups and with your elderly/vulnerable neighbours, just in case these males decide to knock on other doors in the area.
